Intermodal transport, slowly developing due to infrastructure

Dan Suciu, Intermodal Manager of GOPET Romania, discussed with Tranzit about the impact the old rail infrastructure has on the development of the intermodal transportation in Romania and mentioned what would be, in his opinion, the solutions for an efficient operational management. Indeed, this type of transport is much more developed in Western Europe, and as a result many clients require this service also in Romania.

GOPET therefore concentrates its efforts in this direction, despite the technical setbacks, in order to fulfill the requests of its clients. In fact, poor infrastructure is balanced only through a very good loading and unloading planning, and a solid partnership with tractionists handling the ends.More details in the magazine (Romanian language).
