2021 – Balancing uncertainty and optimism

Jan 21, 2021News

As most analysts agree, there is one certainty when looking at 2021, and that is that uncertainty will continue its reign. Supply-chains, local or international, will be constantly under pressure from rapid changes dictated by end users and consumers. A recovery in economic growth is forecasted for the second half of 2021.

The optimistic sentiment comes from the emergence of viable vaccines and the start of vaccination campaigns, as well as the recovery and investment plans that states will implement thanks to the funds provided by EU. On the other hand, the news about China’s economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2020 is again auspicious, given that many industries (e.g. IT&C or components) depend on imports from this area.

No one doubts that some very dynamic months will ensue and bring on fluctuations requiring continuous adjustments, to a smaller or more significant degree. Changes are inevitable. Yet, the unchanging constant should be the confidence in the resilience of the collaborators. Since March 2020, we have made considerable efforts to adapt to the context of the pandemic, to protect our networks from subcontractors and support the business continuity of our clients. We will continue in 2021 while doing our best efforts to maintain a long-term focus in all our partnerships.
